Phenolic Spacers

Are the newer plastic "phenolic" spacers as durable as the older-style orangeish ones? Will they distort under heat during long green flag runs?

I think aluminum is the preferred as a debris issue with rocks hitting it and cracking the phenolic.

Even with plastic resins, many will endure 400+ F without issue .

Keep an eye on your aluminum spacers. I've had several that allowed the gasket to move at the center of the spacer.

Simply not flat.
