Possible causes for a procam 7.5 mech pump on a 409 sbc to push out oil ?

removed pump,probed around,found open passage leading to front of eng. must have been acc. of some type on the front close to the f.p. I found a pic on a chevy forum plug with silicone and a bolt. it must have been puking a lil at rpm then the fan blowing it back on the f.p. hope this fixes it Dang voodoo. -
Yep bud...,that'll do it! It's a hole you can screw a bolt in to hold the fuel pump rod.Make sure it's not too long and silicone it.Comment
