clutch help

I've got an ace 5.5" triple disc clutch with new quartermaster discs. clutch worked fine for practice and heat race, got in car for feature and clutch wouldnt release. checked it in the garage the next day and it seems the first plate and disc are releasing but the middle and third(closest to motor) are not released. reshimmed bearing until it had 0 play and it still made no difference. Any ideas before i tear it out?

Disks bound on the studs or disks broken. Clutches that small hate any slippage like loading it on hte trailer or a heavy car for instance.
