    carb repair

I was given a volley 2 barrel carb that is stripped where the air cleaner stud screws in, is there a good repair for this? ( it is the bigger stud already, takes a 1/2" nut.

    Epoxy… or try to use a heli-coil.

might look at Thread-Sert's ... but they can be expensive.

You fill the hole with brake kleen and blow dry it 3 or 4 times to make sure it is very clean.Get you some good epoxy at any hardware store, fill the hole w/epoxy.Use a small screwdriver or something to make sure the epoxy gets to the bottom, then screw the stud in. Let it dry for at least 24 hours and you'll be done with it.
