Engine rebuild thoughts?

I have a 602 crate engine that does not need to be sealed in my class. I just got it as it was cheap at the time. Anyways it now needs a refresh/rebuild so I wanted to do some upgrades. One piston is shot, so I was looking at going with some forged pistons and also different rods. Trying not to break the bank on the rebuild. Any suggestions? I see speedway and summit both have different kits you can buy but most come with new cranks. Was thinking of just keeping the same crank that came in it. Just really up in the air on what direction i want to go and wanted to hear some ideas. Thanks.

What are your engine rules? Might help lead you in a better direction.

IMCA Modified. So basically wide open for the most part. Just no aluminum heads or block. No full roller set
Opened it up last night. 3 pistons are junk so going to replace them all. Needs to be bored atleast 30 over maybe more as one cylinder has a nice scratch in it.
