One of the magazines did a test of several cast iron heads for under a grand. The Pro-max came out on top big time. The EQ and the Dart are replacement heads and are about equal to a stock Vortec on the flow bench. They do have stronger castings though. Vortec heads like to crack so keep that in mind. The pro-Max heads are really nice. Buy them bare so you can install quality valves etc. i angle milled a set for a guy a couple of years ago to 58cc and he has won two championships in a row now.They need some clean up but not much.
