    quadrajets

    bought 2 used circle track quadrajets to rebuild and use this year.opened them up and both had no front metering rods and piston was blocked off. retapped useing holley 68 jets. is there any benefit to this or just somebodies speed secret thanks

    I always remove the primary metering rods on the circle track q jets i build. makes them easier to tune no messing around with rods and springs etc. I dont retap the jets though i just buy the correct ones. sounds like you might have a couple of good carbs.
