    Honeing Bert trans tail bushing

Just wondering what some of you other Bert trans re-builders use to hone the new tailshaft bushings? I use a brake cylinder hone and don't have any problems, it just takes a while and wears the stones out pretty quick. Didn't know if there was something better and faster out there. Thanks!

I have found that if you press the new bushing in rather than pound with a hammer that it will fit perfectly with no honing required

an adjustable cam bearig tool makes an excellent driver as well

I made a tool to press the bushing in and have never had to hone the bushing. I use standard gm bushings and seals from the chain parts stores.
