    A quick question

A friend of mine asked me this question, and I have no answer. What is the diameter of a stock size 350 chevy piston without the rings. I know the bore size is 4.000, but don't know what the piston size is. Anybody?

Should be 4 to 5 thousands smaller depends on pistons.

Stock factory cast pistons are usually .002-.0025 smaller and racing pistons are usually .004-.005.

This would be measured at a specific location down on the skirt, the manufacturer will usually tell you where to measure (not available in your case). But if you measure towards the top near the ring lands they will be much smaller.
