Pan recommendation

I have a SBC 358. Forged rotating assy. Methanol motor. Looking to turn around 7200. I would like to hear some advice on pan and pump. I can't break the bank, but I need a good circle track pan.

For the money Kevko has some nice pans and pickup tubes put a lot of them on at our shop and always had great luck.

I would think the proposed budget would be a important deciding factor.
If you have $100 to spend it prolly doesn't matter cause they isn't a lot of difference between them but if you had $300 to spend you have several more options.

I would buy a moroso pan. I switched 5 engines from kevko to moroso when they came out because the kevko kept leaking at the spot welds for the gates and leaking at the welds around the starter. I even had a kevko leak because they over broke the 90, it split about 2 inches long... I sent two back to them so they could see their quality control since they are made in usa and local to me.. but I would NEVER buy another one again.

The moroso are about 100 and have the gates welded in so no spot welds to suddenly start leaking and they are cut across the corner so less welds for the starter bolt etc. plus no moroso have ever leaked on me in 5 years.

I'm not gonna say budget isn't an issue, but $5-600 all in.

Has anyone ever tried that billet pump from melling? I know there really isn't a need for that, but it is pretty trick.

For that price range a Pro/Cam by Baker Engineering oil pan 9137-7 or 9137-6 is impossible to beat.

For the money 267.59, I think the Champ Pan CP100LT is a deal. Good Quality, well built, windage tray, 6 doors, crank scraper and a oil temp fitting that most dont have. Holds 8 Qts.

I like the 100 champ pan as well. It will also clear stroke if you want to stroke the engine later.
