Do these heads take normal 23* pistons or do they take a custom made with special notches ?

I think they may have some valve split like a 60/40 or maybe less, but can't remember for sure. I was thinking that typically most self pistons have enough radial clearance on the valve relief that you are good on most of them. Thanks. I read on JE site (since I posted on here) that 227's and Brodix -10x require special order pistons.

I asked my head porting guy because i know he's messed with a few sets and he said some shelf pistons w/ larger valve reliefs will work but like billet mentioned they are the 60/40 valve spacing or there about.

If they don't have enough just take them to the machine shop they usually charge $6-10 per piston to clearance it.
