MSD wiring question

Hey guys, my distributor now has the small square like plug coming from it, I bought a new digital msd and it's got the weather tight plug coming from it, I wanna change the plug on the distributor, I know there's a certain way they go, as I've heard if they're backwards it'll run rough? I appreciate all the help I caneed get!

Msd box green to dist purple. They are same color to color only when msd box to crank trigger. If hooked wrong can damage engine in one lap
