    new engine build cam question

all new build sbc 4.125 bore 3.875 stroke. 6" rods 14.5-1 j&e pistons. mullins brodix outlaw heads 227cc runners. mullins super victor jr. intake willys 750 cfm carb on methanol. here is my question. i called every cam manufactuer out there. every time i did i got different numbers. hdere is the one i went with from comp cams. .648 intake and .645 exhaust. duration at .050 is 261 intake 270 exhaust. 107 lobe center. thats based off 1.5 rockers my t &d shaft rockers are 1.6 ratio. how can i expect this combo to work and is there anyway to tell whaty my cam specs actually are with 1.6 rockers ?

Whole lot more motor than you can use with an 8 inch tire regardless of what rockers you use.

More like 750 if you do everything right.Carburetor is too small for a 415.You need a 950cfm.If you don't have a raised cam block, the small base circle cam will hurt you but 700hp is easy.

You could use a few more degrees at. 050 and the lsa needs to be at least 108* for alcohol.Needs to be close to. 700 lift after lash with those heads.Don't know what intake your talking about. Its either a Victor Jr 2975 or a Super Victor 2925,can'be both but the Super Victor is better.
The moral of this story is what I learned from an engine builder about 30 years ago.Pick you an engine builder you trust and listen to him.You can't take ideas from several different builders and mix them together.

Your lift will be around .690 with 1.6 ,.050 duration numbers gain around 2 to 4 degrees.I would install it on 107 c/l or retard a few degrees.

More like. 670-.665 at the valve. You will only gain close to 1 degree under the lift curve by going from 1.5 to 1.6 rockers.

Call mullins. He'll sell you a cam that he uses.
