At least put it out there where this country could vote on it. Since its on members of Congress they should have no authority on either.

Term limits seems like a great idea but it would give us more elected officials like Jesse ventura and Donald Trump. Kid Rock, the Rock, Kanye, Tom Hanks....I don't want any part of that crap.

None of them are qualified, that's my point. Imposing term limits would open the flood gates.

governing isnt hard. like running a business. having trusted people in key areas and letting them do the work. don't micromanage. have the balls to clean house. voilà.

Haha...That makes governing sound so easy but there are rules and procedures and checks and balances in place for good reason. Our current president is figuring that out the hard way.

We've made it this far without term limits and the country hasn't fallen apart. The country has broken parts, but we are ok. No need to change anything.

And they will raise the debt ceiling before December 30. That happens from time to time and it's definitely a problem. They needed to do it fast a couple weeks ago because FEMA was running out of money fast and they needed more. I give the president credit for helping make that happen.

How about the celebrities, Al Franken included, run for mayor of their hometown or a seat in their state house of representatives. Trump is doing this thing with training wheels and it is embarrassing and scary. Way back in the republican debates Rand Paul exposed trump's lack of entry level political knowledge when he called him out for not being familiar with the Geneva Convention. Trump made fun of Paul's hair and gained support.

I just agreed that the debt ceiling is a problem. Why are you trying to argue about it ?

Rand exposed trump's incompetence and many folks did not care. That was the moment I decided I could never vote for Donald. He is an embarrassment.
