The candidate just announced that he’s suing The Washington Post for running an attack piece against him, and doubled down on his denial of his enemy’s claims.

“So about 30 days before the general election, just the other day, the Washington Post published another attack on my character and reputation because they are desperate to stop my political campaign,” Moore explained during a private event on Sunday

Claims are being made on social media that a reporter was caught on tape offering a woman $1000 to accuse Moore of sexual misconduct. This claim comes from a former Secret Service agent who said that the woman taped the conversation she had with the reporter and sent copies to the Etowah Co. District Attorney and the FBI.Though this claim has yet to be verified, it is known that just before the accusations against Moore came out, the Washington Post endorsed his opponent, Doug Jones, on October 23. On top of that, each of Moore’s accusers, all of whom allege the incidents occurred decades ago, don’t seem to have known each other very well previously, yet all of a sudden they appeared in the public spotlight at the same time to make their accusations only weeks before an election with national implications.

The most recent accuser didn’t go through the Post. Why is it unreasonable for the women to not know each other but come out at the same time? It’s typical for any case of this type where one victim coming forward encourages other victims to speak up.
