It’s been a while since we last heard of Seth Rich, the murdered Democratic National Committee staffer who is rumored to have supplied pilfered emails from his organization to Wikileaks. Those emails, we learned, contained proof that the Hillary campaign rigged the election against insurgent candidate Bernie Sanders.
The last we heard of Rich, former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile had dedicated her tell-all book to him. She also openly speculated that the Russians had Rich killed, though there has been no proof of that assertion.
In fact, there has been little done to prove who actually killed Seth Rich. But now we’re learning that one man who investigated the unsolved murder was just attacked in what he is describing as a “professional hit.â€
According to the Daily Mail, “A Republican lobbyist currently supporting a Trump aide charged over the Russia probe told Wednesday how he was pepper sprayed and punched by a masked man in his driveway.â€
The victim, Jack Burkman, went to the police after the harrowing attack. Here is the official Arlington police report:
“At approximately 7:31 p.m. on January 16, police were dispatched to the report of an assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that as the victim was returning to his residence, he located an unknown dark colored SUV in his driveway.
“The male driver exited the vehicle and sprayed the victim with a caustic substance before fleeing the scene in the vehicle. The victim was treated on scene by medics for minor injuries. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a mask and black jacket. The investigation is ongoing.â€
This is highly suspicious. Burkman is associated with many causes, specifically defending a Trump associate in the ongoing Russia investigation. His work in the Seth Rich murder is the most controversial, however. That murder is still unsolved, and many suspect foul play by the DNC.
