I wouldn't dispute that statement, Kid. I was a JW fan back in the James Gang days. Used to set in my parents car 'till all hours listening to Beaker Street hosted by Clyde Clifford which was a late night progressive rock show on radio station KAAY out of Little Rock, Arkansas. KAAY wouldn't come in on the house radio but it would in the car. That's the first exposure to JW's music I can remember.Originally posted by kidrock View PostWhen he joined the Eagles in 75 the got better as a group.
That said, I saw the Eagles the summer before JW joined them and to this day that was the most entertaining concert I've ever attended. Never got to see them after JW joined. Hotel California was the Eagles best album during the Walsh years but their stuff prior to Joe was equal to anything they put out after. Not sayin', just sayin'.

Don't get me wrong the Eagles have always been a great band before and after Joe Walsh joined them. I just thought they got better after he joined the band and went more towards hard rock. You know the good ole 60's 70's music.Originally posted by CIRF View PostI wouldn't dispute that statement, Kid. I was a JW fan back in the James Gang days. I would agree wholeheartedly that the music got better with JW on board.Originally posted by kidrock View PostDon't get me wrong the Eagles have always been a great band before and after Joe Walsh joined them. It was the James Gang albums "The James Gang Rides Again" and "Thirds" and later his solo stuff "You Can't Argue With A Sick Mind" (that album title fits a lot of what is posted on 4M!! LOL!), "So What" and "But Seriously Folks" that I loved the most.
Joe will also have my eternal admiration and envy for banging Stevie Nicks for a couple of years back in the mid 1980's. Stevie was smokin' back in those days! LOL!

LOL ! I remember wearing out the 8 track player in an old Plymouth Fury that my parents owned. The title of the tape was ; James Gang Bang ! Not my favorite of their albums but I liked Ride the wind , From another time, and Got no time for trouble. I was more of a Funk 49 and Walk away kind of a guy.Originally posted by CIRF View PostI would agree wholeheartedly that the music got better with JW on board.
