Now that Johnson and Knaus have been separated, how successful will each be?

I am looking with interest at the Chad/Wm matchup

    1. Chad micro manages
    2. He plans all the strategy
If worked with Johnson, don't know WB enough to know how he will respond. Chad definitely knows his stuff, but does he have the energy to do it all again. He does have a very capable driver. So we will see how things go. I have to think there will be some wins coming to this team before the season is over. IF???? the youngster can work for a crew chief who expects you to do everything he tells you.

Drivers of Jimmie's talent and class rarely come along. Usually just once in every 3 or 4 generations. The only drivers ever to breath the same rarified air as Jimmie is Mr. Pearson and Mr. Petty. It's going to be tough to remotely duplicate what Knaus accomplished with possibly the best ever. Dale Inman was able to pull off winning a couple of races with Tim Richmond and a championship with Terry Labonte after winning 7 championships and 198 races with The King. However, by anyone's standards (anyone with half the normal compliment of gray matter) Chad Knaus is not even in the same universe as Dale Inman.

Feel free to hate on that gutless power boy!! LOL!!

When I saw Bill Belichik and Tom Brady in the Superbowl and saw all of their success together I thought of Jimmy Johnson and Chad Knaus and what they have done together. So much more so for the Hendrik team because they did it in the gimmick era. They won all of those championships despite racing in a time where yellow flags were flown at will to get whoever NASCAR wanted to win to the front. Anything to slow Jimmy down because he was going to go ahead with the most championships. He had to be slowed down some how ! I suppose if those boys were allowed to be on an equal playing field , they may have had wins near David Pearsons by now.
