It's funny how they say they want everyone to be equal but when it comes time to implement their plan they like to pick and chose who they help.Originally posted by fastford View Postgood one bbq , he has self pronounced himself to be in the upper segment of middle class and was probably born there so i doubt he will ever under stand..Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Its obvious Mcfarter knows NOTHING about our welfare/hud free give-away programs. He should come ride with me one day in Section 8 housing, to actually SEE the truth!Originally posted by Barbecueboy View PostSo that argument only works for the predominantly white coal mining community and not the predominately black community that is stubbornly entrenched in their own towns and city areas with no jobs???
The assistance that most of them perpetually live on IS their disability......
Hypocrite much??
Even then, being the liberal he is, he wouldn't tell the truth!

Move over flag?.......you get the checkered flag for that post!Originally posted by Barbecueboy View PostSo what's the point of working hard to better yourself and give your kids a better life than you had like (sending them to better schools, having a nice house to raise them in, and providing them financial stability for when they get older).
If I'm reading your posts right , you don't think it's fair that some folks work harder to provide for their families better than the ones that just want it given to them ??
we are all born with the same exact fundament rights , it's the choices you make ( or that are made for you by your parents)along the way that determine how those rights apply to your situation.
If you haven't earned the right to " go to Princeton or Harvard " then you aren't going.....if you haven't earned the right to have a nicer house, eat a fancier steak or wear fancier clothes then IMO you certainly don't deserve it on someone else's dime or effort.
Life isn't fair sometimes, but that's not going to get fixed by spending other people's money, it will get fixed when people accept the responsibility of their own actions.
Sure there are examples of egregious unfairness between the rich and the poor, but those are more the exceptions and not the common rule...........you seem to be ignoring the apathy of the people you mention who say " I want more" but when asked to work for it or at the very least strive to do better the standard answer is " nah, I don't want it that bad I'll continue to just ask for it".....again , there are exceptions to that.

You'd have to get rid of our first-past-the-post voting system, then. I'm all for that, but it would take a change in the Constitution.Originally posted by Barbecueboy View PostDissolve both parties.......and start voting for the person instead of the party.
People may actually start voting with their brains.

The unemployment rate trend has stayed steady since before Trump was elected. The economy was already headed there. That wasn't because of Trump.Originally posted by fastford View Postso what about the companies that are coming back to the US because of the tax breaks? do they not create jobs ? its kind of hard to argue the low unemployment rate and the 50 year low african american unemployment rate ,i guess you think clintons nafta was a good thing right ? you need to watch something besides cnn sometimes , but you want......

I come from a working class family in a rural small town. The official data doesn’t agree. GDP growth and unemployment trends have not change significantly during Trump’s administration.
