I've seen it enforced with my own eyes. Last year during the Indiana Sprint Week event at Kokomo, Indiana we watched Kokomo Speedway security escort some guy off the property for pirating live video to Facebook Live. The event was being sold as an internet PPV and there were signs at the entrance to the grandstands warning against video pirating. I've seen warnings at other places that cell phone video will not be tolerated.
If an event it not being offered for sale as a PPV it's safe to say downside economic impact to the promoter regarding video pirating is probably minimal. But, it's not good business for a promoter to allow director/cameraman wannabe's to pirate video content that is otherwise for sale. That's just protecting the sovereignty of their facility and video content that is being offered for sale.Last edited by CIRF; 07-28-2019, 08:03 AM.
