A few IMHO thoughts, in a little different, polite retort approach -

Obama saved our country thanks to the financial devastation created by the previous republican administration.

First off, that is correct, for the most part. It’s how Obama did it that I without doubt, despised. Higher taxes, bailouts, extension of TARP, cash for clunkers, more bailouts, stimulus package, etc. etc. basically over exaggerated the economy with no real cash value to expand the economy. Wasn’t a fan of G.W. Bush, and certainly wasn’t a fan of Obama.

Trump is just reaping the financial benefits thanks to Obama.

I’ve previously posted the graph (link) that shows in part your statement is correct, for the most part, sorta, kinda - yet the economy has came up, drastically and then some, under Trump, independently of Obama efforts.

Obama did such a great job the American citizens elected him for a 2nd term and if he could of ran for a 3rd term he would be president now.

Now for the part you probably won’t like, and isn’t popular. It is my opinion, and opinion only, the only reason Obama won election I and II is/was because of his skin color, with white guilt and black pity playing 90% of the reasoning why he won, both times. White Democrats, and left leaning white moderate RINO’s wanted to be the first ones that voted the first Black man in office. (furthering, I have had numerous middle class black friends substantiate my belief and opinion) And in doing so, most Obama voters overlooked his Muslim child culture heritage, his socialist beliefs, his ties to Jeremiah Wright, and his ties to Communist Bill Ayers and Weather underground, just to name a few. He won because he was Black, not because of his great policies. If his great policies were the case, Hillary would have won, Obama election III, beating Trump. And that did not happen.

lurker , you are dead on with your last paragraph above , and i will add , 40% of the white vote put obameer in , also i do some work for a very well respected black preacher in my area and this is what he told me , " I voted for obama the first time , mainly because i wanted to see a black president one time in my life , but he did not do a dam thing he said he would , especially for blacks , so i did not vote for him again " , i think there will be more republican votes come from the black community this time than ever before , now the polls may not show this , but i am willing to bet the ballot box does....
