Says he will legalize pot by executive order. That will probably gain him some supporters.

That would not surprise me. Clinton said she ain't going to be anyone's VP, so there is that. But, on the other hand that old geezer probably wouldn't last 4 years of Presidency and she could take over and fulfill her dream. The old bat could finally find a way to the top. LOLOL

You're not off base with that. It happened in Wisconsin in the last election cycle. Different pot initiatives were on local ballots for several cities and towns around the state. Well, there was some good turnout in those venues from a lot of non-traditional voters (voters who don't show up in every election) and those voters then filled in the rest of the ticket with a lot of votes for the left.Originally posted by STRONGERTHANDIRT View PostSays he will legalize pot by executive order. So, Walker was sent packing by Evers by a narrow margin. There were several reasons (off year election cycle, falling popularity, etc) but the pothead factor helped it along. I'm not making a value judgment on the habit, I'm just stating what happened. We wound up losing a good Attorney General (Schimel) and getting an Eric Holder disciple (Kaul) and the margin was little over 20,000 votes statewide.
Now the Bernie bros are mostly 30 and under so maybe this carrot he is dangling is in hope of getting libertarians over to his side. Drug legalization has always been a big thing for libertarians but are they willing to sell out for socialism? Usually the libertarians are more free market and Bernie is the anti-Christ of the free market.Political correctness,...is the inability to speak the truth about the obvious.

Bernie is beat before he starts. No way this communist gets any where close to the Dem nomination or White house no matter what the pundits say. Nonsense rules the day with this jerk. JMO of course
Bloomberg is going to buy the dem nomination and the Dems are going to let him. They have no other choice

As a libertarian, a big NO on Bernie and his socialism platform.

Not denying that many people could benefit from all of the perceived benefits of medical marijuana that would help so many people with pain issues { including myself }, but on the other hand one of the states that have legalized recreational use has reported a 150% increase in traffic accidents last year. In my day in the 60s we all seemed to be driving a lot slower with our buzz without any problems vs the drunks {juicers} who always seem to have their accidents happen at such a high speed that there were many fatalities as a result. In the 60 and 70s the people were labeled as druggies that should be killed by the elders. Yeah we smoked the HAPPY HAY but most of us were easily able to let go of it. Today most people that tries Meth, Coke, Crack, Fentanyl, Heroin, get hooked on up on it until it causes their death.
