I wish they would just red flag races after wrecks and take the pit stop out of being a factor for what car wins the race. NASCAR has abused the late race cautions for far too long! No pit stops with less than 20 laps remaining or red flag the race and bring all cars to the pits (re enter track in same position as when you entered the pits). Make the driver and race car responsible for who wins (not the late race caution). End of rant

Looks like NASCAR is going to emulate Indy Car to a small extent with one big center nut wheel system. Now, if they'd go to the on-board air actuated jacking system like Indy Car and a safer and faster fueling system like Indy Car they'd eliminate a significant degree of hazard to crew members associated with pit stops. Why not eliminate the old style flour jacks and the fuel cans? After all, this is 2020 and the days of NASCAR race cars being remotely associated with anything that comes off the manufacturer's assembly lines is virtually nonexistent anyway so going for optimum safety for crew members would seem to make good sense. https://speedsport.com/nascar/nascar...-next-gen-car/

Yeah BUT, Didn't Brian France try to REINVENT the wheel as far as NASCAR was concerned and what did that get him other that EMPTY SEATS, Seats REMOVED wholesale, Seats painted in different colors to look to the cameras as their were azzes in them, and many entire sections covered with tarps with sponsors names on them to cover up the FACT that the seats were empty as a Democrats head ? ?
