The media did report on past epidemics. This disease behaves differently and so there has been a different response from the WHO, CDC, and government bodies around the world. If quarantine worked as well for H1N1 as it does for covid-19, then it would have happened.

what would have happened if obummer would have simply closed the southern border ? they knew well in advance the h1n1 was coming from mexico , i feel for sure a huge amount of the nearly 13,000 that died could have been saved , but here is the reason that administration did not act , its called VOTES....

ford did not take a bail out , GM brought that on there selves with over priced cars and poor union management , that was a different situation than what is happening to the airline industry , they had no control over what happened , and BTW , i did not agree with the gm bail out , should have let them fail , restructure , and go from there , and before any one screams loss of jobs , automation took way , way more jobs than them going bankrupt could ever have ,

You’ve established that you get you News from AP, and that’s great. Knowing that, can you please post a direct link (not your words, AP’s words) from AP that supports your finding. Not your personal interpretation that President Trump lies, but AP themselves in a presser story, outright saying he’s lying.

And NO, look it up yourself answer either. I’ve looked on AP and cannot find one presser story where they say outright --- he’s lying.

Nope, didn't listen to our President. Don't know anything about what you're talking about. There are a half dozen people who will admit to having heard me refer to this virus as "China" virus since back in January. It started in China and it came from China thus it's the China virus. That isn't xenophobic, racist or any other kind of "ist" or "ism", it's a proper description.

So, from the tone of hatred and loathing of our President, I take it that you firmly believe that our (yours, mine and everyone's) President is indifferent and unconcerned for all American's who will die, or be permanently affected, by this virus. Is it safe to say your opinion of our President is that he doesn't care if this thing ever is brought under control, he's an uncaring monster.

Okay, fair enough. At least you own your hatred and loathing. Lotta' people hate and loathe but most try to disguise it with double talk and BS. There is something to be said for honesty.
