He told about how he was paralyzed from the waist down by a falling tree at the age of 26, and he said, “You might imagine, when you face something like that, it tests your faith...my relationship with God and Jesus Christ grew even closer after that accident.” Everyone faces challenges and storms in life, but Gov. Abbott is right—“There is something you can lean on that will always be there for you. That’s Jesus Christ.” I’m grateful for Governor Abbott’s bold faith in Christ and his strong leadership of the great state of Texas. God bless him!
