IMO he will be put in solitary, not in Gen Population. Whatever this guy was thinking or what his intentions were, he is finished. There will be a trial, the American way, but he has already been judged and convicted. He is in about the same shape that the Oklahoma bomber was. I am not saying I agree that he should be put in this position before a trial, quite a bit of difference, but no one will have the gonads to wait until the Defense rests. He has been convicted

Everybody already knows the case. It will certainly be impossible to get a fair trial.
You liberals do realize that if Floyd has been home watching television with his family and not out commiting a federal crime, they wouldn't be planting his criminal butt in the ground. Lay down in the roadway of an interstatye and the likelihood of getting run over is quite high. Watch some LIVE PD on A&E and see how strong some of these people can be high on drugs. Locally one night, one person was beating the crap out of 8 big orderlys and a docxtor in the ER.
Jog I normally agree with you on most stuff.....but the same thing could be said about the cop.
Being home with his family instead of being a dirty cop.
I would totally agree with you had Mr Floyd carried those cops around like Earl Campbell running through the falcons defensive line....but he didn't, he was subdued and cuffed on the ground showing zero signs of resisting.
Guy was handcuffed and I don't give a dam how strong anyone is on drugs, they aren't breaking the handcuffs, they aren't swinging, all they could do is kick or run.....and he wasn't and couldn't.
Cop was and is a piece of sh!t for treating him like that.....again, wasn't the first red flag on that cops resume.
I totally disagree with the aftermath of the rioting and looting, but I can't really believe there is still a discussion on whether Mr. Floyd deserved the treatment he got.
If it was one of your family members in the exact same spot having done the exact same thing Mr. Floyd did.....would you be cool with them getting the same exact treatment.

You nailed this. These folks don’t want to have an h8nest real discussion about things. They are still supporting piss pour behavior and disrespect.
There is nothing anyone can say based on what we've all seen that can justify the cops behavior as appropriate ......nothing.
If something else comes out down the road , more footage, some history or motive to treat the guy like he did then I'm open to change my opinion.....but based on what we've seen ( and I think I've seen every angle you all have) and listened to the audio like you all have......there is no justification for what he did based on any of that......none.
No one said there is justification. There are still missing pieces to the entire story. But don’t screw up and chances are you won’t get jacked with by anyone and if you do screw up just admit it and take the punishment or maybe they will cut you a break if you don’t resist.
Agree with all that, but I haven't seen anything close to resembling resisting.....we could go back and forth with the chicken or egg analogy all day.
Like you and most other normal people , I've tried to live the don't screw up and you won't pay the price rule most of my adult life so I get that.......Mr. Floyd and Mr. Chauvin didn't that day.....they both screwed up, only one of them has died so far.
What I think: With Covid 19, you are to turn the infected sick person on his stomach to breath better. That did not help Floyd, read his death bio, also the heart was ready to stop at any stressful point, plus being jack-upped on drugs. Floyd was out of prison (and jail several times) so he new he was going back, that did the heart. The knee did not hurt him. With the heart attack and covid 19, his chest froze, you can't breath. The one cop knew Floyd and had issues with him, 2nd murder will stand because they will prove intent by some means if they can find a jury to buy into it. Other wise, he walks. Public pressure got in the way, for 3rd would be easy to prove.
You better pray he doesn't "walk". The protests from that happening would make these last couple of weeks seem tame in comparison. On a side note, one of the officers was bailed out of jail.
2nd degree seems pretty clear/cut to me. Argument can be made for 1st but I don't think it would stick. Dude deserves to go to jail for a long time. The guy was charged with buying Cigarettes with a fake $20 bill. Even if he did resist, there were FOUR cops. No need to rest your knee in the back of his neck. Appears to be a history between the two which is more fuel for an argument for 1st degree but we'll see. I think prosecution will stick with 2nd degree.
