Charles Edward Daniels.............

Charlie Daniels has passed away at the age of 83 from a stroke. I had the pleasure and honor to have attended two live performances by Charlie and his band. The last of the two was at the grandstand at The Du Quoin State Fair back in 2015. Even at the age of 78 Charlie and his band put on a good show!!

Rest in peace, Charlie. You were a great musician and song writer and a Patriot.

Charlie was approximately 8 months older than the King. Charlie would have been 84 October 28th.

last time i saw him was in the infield at talladega super speedway a couple years back and he was like 80 then and still getting down , RIP charlie . at least you lived long enough to see " the devil go down to georgia ",,,,,,

First saw Charlie live in Ventura at the fairgrounds near 40 years ago. To this day it's still probably the best concert I ever saw. CDB played almost 3 hours, no breaks, and the crowd keep asking for more and they obliged. Saw him a couple of more times over the years and he always seemed to love his craft and never disappointed. Thanks for a lot of good memories Charlie.
