It was a pandemic as it started in China and very quickly spread across the globe. It just wasn’t a very deadly pandemic as the vast majority recover. Not sure it can be called a pandemic anymore as not much more spreading it can do.Comment

Not true. As many as 130,000 deaths were falsely attributed to covid when in fact they died of something else. It was a HUGE mistake to pay " bounties" to hospitals.Originally posted by ss12 View Post

They like to ignore that whole" bounty " for reported covid death thing......but, unfortunately it's just another example of big medicine taking advantage of people under the guise of " good medicine".Where is the move over flag when you need it?????Comment

I vacillate between believing it's way overblown to being shocked when I see relatively young, strong, vital men and women die or are permanently affected as a result of contracting the virus. I neither totally disregard the gravity nor do I believe it (the pandemic) is as bad as we're sometimes told.
My niece, who is a respiratory therapist in southern California and a very close friend who's son is an emergency room doctor in Wisconsin, both have said it's for real and is a grave danger to public health. One is a devout democrat and the other is an equally devout conservative republican.
The wife and I have cancelled our yearly trip to Florida for the dirt track Speedweeks events in lieu of a trip out west in early August in hopes this virus has either run it's course or there is a viable vaccine and/or treatment by late summer 2021. We're taking it seriously to the extent that we are going to expose ourselves as little as possible outside of our livelihood.Last edited by CIRF; 10-26-2020, 06:30 PM.Comment

Looks like the common flu has been eradicated.........Last fact.... 40% of deaths occurred in 5 states that reintroduced covid 19 patience's back to nursing homes.
