Its been known for awhile and has actually been reported on recently that the production of these cars still hurt the environment. From what I've seen, the most concerning issue is the resources needed to produce the batteries used in most of these cars. As for the source of their electricity, that is an issue with the power grid that needs to be changed. If the US gets off its ass and puts more emphasis on nuclear energy, the problems with pollution from power plants goes down a ton.

Every time there is a volcano the "environment" is what you insist "harmed" far worse the the grand sum of all of the pollution create by man kind in it's entire history on Earth.

You Environment people are being sold a complete lie. Just live your life and all of the cow farts in the world doesn't make one bit of any difference to the atmosphere, that refreshed itself naturally every second.

Every coal powered plant smokestack in the world is billions of times degated by the trees, sun, natural processes of the Earth itself.
