Zero is correct on his statement, "You do know that was the early beginnings of the KKK, taking out justice on men who didnt take care of their families!"........Stories: I told the story about my early relative who got the crap beat out of him, the beating is called 'a dose of hickory' a hickory stick and a quilt so no marks would show. And the Klans men were a preacher, community leaders, and neighbors. My relative saw faces and knew some by name, but was persuaded later to not say anything in fear of more, he feuded no more with his neighbor; so the attitude adjustment worked. I also heard a story of a drunk who did not treat his wife and children very respectful, he also got a visit. And a traveling white man passing thru who stole something, he was caught red handed and was hung that night. My Great Aunt spoke, when she was a child, of the Klan chasing a Negro for stealing, later they found where he spent the night under their house with food missing. Note something of interest, at the Vatican in Italy, there are white hooded men who carries Jesus's body thru the streets at the Easter festival. I suspect that the Klan got their ideal from the Catholic Church, the robes and the cross.

Careful on quoting Bible scripture and using it in this discussion. Matthew 6:24 is talking about putting material things ahead of Serving God. It does not mean if you make a lot of money, then you are not being a Christian. For the believer all things belong to God and gives His Children what they have. The purpose of the Church is for one thing and one thing only. Worship God and encourage others to join in. Winning souls around the world cost money and God supplies it where His Churches and Missionaries are. Bottom line, it is not a sin to treat what God gives you in the way He instructs you in Scripture.

The verse specifically states you can not work for financial gain while remaining faithful to God. The fact that the Bible is even up to so much interpretation shows how flawed it is to base all of society off of it.

I think we're almost in agreement on this, the part I would add is that a lot of the fathers of these black children were already in poverty before them and their fathers before them. There's no point in trying to argue with NA or Zero if we don't even agree on evolution and if religion (or lack thereof) is the only argument they have left. I mean hell, if you're going to twist the origins of the KKK, at least focus on something a little more accurate like how they were a post-Civil War insurgent group. You'd have to ignore the blatant white supremacist statements and their hyper-focus on black people, but it would at least be more believable and be somewhat based on fact.

Osiris1241, you are so PC and civil rights driven. Africans do not have Neanderthal DNA, a huge difference. 'Ethnic origin', DNA is you origin. Fatherless issue is a 'MORAL' issue. Poverty is a 'MORAL' issue of choice. A Godless unmoral person will never understand nor have true wisdom. I beg the question, "If a person has no morals, are they just not an evolved ape, and live out their life like an ape"?

See, I don't think you actually know what you're talking about. I never said black people have Neanderthal DNA. Ethnic Origin is scientifically NOT the same as DNA. Ethnic origin is a cultural phrase, NOT a genetic phrase like your physical DNA make-up. This isn't even a PC or civil rights related issue, but a scientific definitions issue. As for the "Poverty is a moral choice" issue, I'm not sure how being a good christian would help get you out of poverty considering Matthew 6:24 specifically states that one cannot pursue financial gains while being a good Christian.

It's a matter of fact that children of all races brought up in the midst of father absence are many times more likely to be subjected to poverty. They are many times more apt to cut their education short. They are more apt to end up as a gang member and/or in jail.Since the black community statistics show exponentially higher father absence percentages the numbers become exponentially higher for the above social malady's. It's simple math.
