To the best oval track Indy Car driver of the rear engine era. That driver would be Rocket Rick Mears, born this day in 1951. Due to age deficit I had the honor of seeing Rocket Rick win just his 4th and final Indy 500. Rick was the consummate badass at Indy in an Indy Car.
