Joey does that because the whole family was flush with money long before they bought his way into Nasky ! He wants to be insured that he be considered in talk of Hall of Fame talk. His set back would be that you must have respect from his fellow drivers of which most don't care for him. Oh of course he will get rave reviews from drivers like Mikey Waltrip that do so much media work to try suck their way in.
