Lurker I think I said 71% of the people approve of unions and in the article you posted one of the first things it says is 71% of American approve of unions.

    kidrock,

I don’t really care one way or the other --- but being fair and balanced. If you really read into the report, you’ll see those numbers you posted are a little skewed in union favor in all reality.

Seventy-one percent of Americans approve of labor unions. Although similar to last year's 68%, approval is up from 64% before the pandemic.

    Examples:

About One in Six Americans Live in a Union Household

Sixteen percent of Americans live in a household where at least one resident is a union member. This includes U.S. adults who report that they themselves are a union member (6%), those who say someone else in their home is a member (7%), and those who say they and someone else in their household belong to unions (3%).

The net 16% union household figure is within the 14% to 21% range Gallup has recorded since 2001.

    Americans' Labor Union Membership

Are you, or is anyone in your household, a member of a labor union?
Yes, respondent in labor union 6%
Yes, other household member in labor union 7%
Both respondent and other household member in labor union 3%
    Net: Union household 16%
Not a member of labor union 84%
