A rural farmer on his front end loader had witnessed a bus that was on its way to a Union convention roll and wreck violently on his property. He pushed the bus and the bodies into a gulley that he was trying to fill. A week later the local sheriff came by and asked the farmer what happened. After the farmer told the story of what went on, the sheriff asked if he was sure that everyone that was buried was in fact dead. The old boy said " They were all Democrats and you know they lie " ! !
