You know deep down I don't think all of the press is really that fond of Joe. They know. They know the kind of person he has been for decades. But the press are almost all from the left so they can't help themselves but to protect the left.

But here's the thing. I don't think they are really trying to protect Biden. I think they'd rather have a younger, more telegenic, more energetic candidate who creates buzz, and ratings (mostly ratings). We'll see about that. If Frankenstein created a political monster with Drakkar Noir, Axe, and a lot of hair gel you'd get Gavin Newsome. But that's another discussion.

No, the person they are ultimately trying to protect in this mess is Obama. Because all this stuff Joe was doing was during the time he was veep, and that does not reflect well on Obama. Obama has been able to stay away from the stain of the creation of the Russia collusion hoax because that was Hillary's deal, but he knew about it and he helped set the wheels in motion with the intel community and the FBI. As I mentioned a few posts back, I believe Obama was well informed about what Joe was up to and just let it happen. Obama put Joe in charge of Ukraine policy and made him the point man.

If this all breaks badly on Joe some might really want to ask Obama, "What did you know, and when did you know it?"
