Imagine being a general, who has work to do, and being summoned from half way across the world, to a meeting that was livestreamed, just to be lectured by a known draft-dodger and somebody who has mocked prisoners of war. Could you imagine that? Is this your president?

Trump opens with a threat to the generals in the room: "I've never walked into a room so silent before … Just have a good time. And if you want to applaud, you applaud. And if you want to do anything you want, you can do anything you want. And if you don't like what I'm saying, you can leave the room. Of course, there goes your rank, there goes your future. but you just feel nice and loose."
Trump: "We want war because we wanna have no wars but you have to...be there and you...sometimes you have to do it" - Well I'm sure the generals who travelled from the other side of the world are sure happy they came to hear that.
Hegseth: Being a racist has been illegal in our formations since 1948. Same goes for sexual harassment. Both our wrong and illegal. - This is someone who has mistreated women for years (his own mother says so) and has been accused of rape on several occasions. He also has a combination of tattoos that can be seen as white nationalism.
Hegseth: “To our enemies: FAFO” ... followed by a hold for applause that never come. - A cringey moment that I'm sure all generals are glad to be there for.
Hegseth: "You see the Ivy League faculty lounges will never understand us, and that’s okay. Because they could never do what you do. The media will mischaracterize us, and that’s okay. Because deep down they know the reason they can do what they do is you.” - Hegseth has two degrees from two Ivy League schools and has been a member of the media.
Then he decided to talk about the enemies from within. Now I've spoken about this before. The election was one nearly a year ago but he's still speaking about the enemy. That's propaganda for you. Fascism. But you guys don't want to hear that.
Trump: "Trump to generals: "America is under invasion from within. We're under invasion from within. No different than a foreign enemy, but more difficult in any ways because they don't wear uniforms. At least when they're wearing a uniform you can take them out."
