Trumpers got so upset at people for celebrating/not caring about Charlie Kirk but then were fine when the PRESIDENT went on a rant about Reiner had TDS. I sure do.

It was beyond bad taste.
What happened to Rob Reiner and his wife was absolutely horrible. In the world of what can happen to someone in an unnatural death circumstance, this is about as bad as it gets.
Rob Reiner can and should be appreciated and remembered for his creativity and talents and what he brought many people through his life as an actor and director and that work was very very good.Political correctness,...is the inability to speak the truth about the obvious.

That being said, I can't say that I don't understand the urge, although that urge is beneath the dignity of the office.
Grace, forgiveness, and understanding are things that continually need to be practiced, and sometimes that can be really difficult. If you take a person who has been a constant target of not only the level of hate and vitriol but all the legal machinations of lawfare and constant slings and arrows. It can test you. Nobody has had to endure what Trump has endured from his opponents. Nobody.
When your political opponents go after you in a constant blood sport manner with all the Nazi and facist name calling, lying, trying to literally put you in prison for the rest of your days, send their DOJ to raid your home and literally go through your wife's underwear drawer, it can harden you up. When those political opponents are constantly bolstered by the voices of the entertainment left, it makes for a convenient time to make a point, even if most of us would agree it was not a tactful point to make.
So as I would extend prayers and blessings to the family, friends, and many fans of the Reiners, I would also extend some grace and understanding to someone else and hope that in the future, they let their better angel take flight.Political correctness,...is the inability to speak the truth about the obvious.

That's a cop out. He's the PRESIDENT. It is his job to act in a manner consistent with the presidency.Originally posted by Morgs153 View PostThat being said, I can't say that I don't understand the urge, although that urge is beneath the dignity of the office.

In a similar narcissistic vein, here is what Trump said after the shooting of Kirk.
"Vance then narrated how he broke the news of Kirk’s death to Trump. “And I remember walking to the Oval Office and telling the President, and of course, you know, the President is a person who always has something to say. You know, he just, he has that ability, and that was one of the few times where the President, I've ever seen him, the only time I would say, where I've seen the President stunned,” Vance said.
He added, “He just sat back in his chair and he was like: 'Man, he fought hard for us, didn't he?'"
Somehow had to make it about him, didn't he?
If it was just Trump's policies that I didn't like, I wouldn't really care. But no, he's an absolute pig of a human who cares about one thing only and that is himself. Reagan was a decent human and I have a lot of respect for him. Not Trump.

Your hate has an effect on your reading comprehension.
When I write things like: It was beyond bad taste, and ... that urge is beneath the dignity of the office, or that... they let their better angel take flight, I'm not in disagreement with you there.
Holy cow, narcissists exist in politics. Who knew? I would even say quite a few people who check the boxes on the spectrum of being psychopathic. I'm just not surprised that the guy fights back, sometimes in inelegant ways. Let's not forget, he got shot. After all that hate and rhetoric and noise from the left, he got shot. That doesn't mean I approve or agree with what he said especially when I state the things I did. That's not a cop out (I haven't been one for almost eight years).Last edited by Morgs153; 12-16-2025, 05:57 PM.Political correctness,...is the inability to speak the truth about the obvious.

He's been like this for years. Don't kid yourself. You think it's a coincidence the "hate and rhetoric" turned up when Trump came into the picture.Originally posted by Morgs153 View PostYour hate has an effect on your reading comprehension.

Well the narcissist is back at it again.
"The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts will be renamed the “Trump-Kennedy Center,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said."
"The center’s board of trustees, who were appointed by President Donald Trump, “voted unanimously” on the change, Leavitt said."
Except it wasn't unanimous.
""This was not unanimous," said Ohio Democratic Representative Joyce Beatty, one of the board's members. "I was muted on the call and not allowed to speak or voice my opposition to this move."
Kennedy's grandson Jack Schlossberg, a Trump critic currently running for Congress, said on X that the "microphones were muted" and the board's "vote NOT unanimous".

Mt Rushmore is next....
Don't worry, when some other admin comes in all these things will get changed back.
By the way, I don't think these places need any name changes. But, if you guys like to keep saying things like Trump is some kind of poonhound and womanizer and all that, well Jack Kennedy....just saying. That guy was an epic shebanger. So, good company.Political correctness,...is the inability to speak the truth about the obvious.

Kennedy certainly enjoyed his fair share of extramarital company. I don't really have an issue with someone being a womanizer. It's whatever to me.Originally posted by Morgs153 View PostMt Rushmore is next....

What I do have an issue with, is rapists. Trump is a rapist. That's where the two differentiate.

Is Bill Clinton currently president? I've spoken about that s1ck 1uck before.Originally posted by Morgs153 View PostBill Clinton was a rapist. Ask Tara Reade if what she received from Joe Biden was a welcome contact, cause I'm sure he forgot by now.
Tara's story isn't credible and it takes a fair few holes to have me not believe a victim. There's a reason it never really gained traction.
Stop deflecting. This happens every time I bring up something bad Trump has done. You either hold him to the same standard of someone on social media or you'll say bUT DemOCraTs, usually bringing up Bill Clinton who hasn't been president in two and half decades.

At least Trump had good reason unlike Charlie Kirk haters. The man was an obsessed hater and Communist shill.
