Republican support for President Trump just registered at 92.3% in a new CBS poll.
That is not a soft number. That is a statement. The vast majority of Republicans remain firmly behind the president who returned to office promising to put America first and disrupt the old way of doing business. The MAGA movement is not weakening under pressure. It is proving durable.
For years the political class and their media allies have predicted the end of Trump’s hold on the party. Every controversy was supposed to be the one that finally broke the bond. Instead, the numbers keep showing the opposite. Republican voters know who delivered for them and who fought for them. They are not walking away.
Ninety-two point three percent is the kind of figure that should end the fantasy that the base is ready to move on. It is not. The energy, the loyalty, and the commitment are still concentrated where they have been since 2016—with Trump.
This poll is good news for anyone who wants a Republican Party that actually fights. It is bad news for the people who hoped internal division would do their work for them. The base is decided.
If you approve of the job President Trump is doing, you are in excellent company. The numbers put you in the clear majority of Republicans. Wear it proudly.
