Eyebrows are raised after a radical left wing columnist seems to have issued a "threat" if Abdul Mohammed El-Sayed were to lose the Michigan Senate race.
Far-left wing columnist Wajahat Ali posted this after Haley Stevens endorsed Republican Mike Rogers:
"If, God forbid, Abdul loses, this will be a watershed moment in Democratic politics. The fire will rise. It's over."
He went further: "People will be radicalized against corporate, pro-Israel Dems. There will be a reckoning. If, when, he wins, it will be a watershed moment. And that reckoning will still come."
Critics are calling the post ominous and a dog whistle, arguing that "the fire will rise" and "there will be a reckoning" sound less like political analysis and more like a warning.
Some social media users went as far as to claim that Ali was threatening "jihad"
