First ever Stars Modlite Tour to visit BECKLEY MOTORSPORTS PARK

Bilstein Modified Lite STARS Co-Sanctions Beckley Motorsport Parks $1000 to Win

Bilstein Modified Lite STARS Co-Sanctions Beckley Motorsport Parks $1000 to Win

Bilstein Modified Lite STARS officials announced today that the Modified Lite STARS will co-sanction a non-points event with Beckley Motorsports Park, Beckley, WV on August 26th.

For the first time in the history of the fame Beckley Motorsport Park, and sponsorship from NXS Motorsports and Teeters Motorsports, the modified lites will be heading to Beckley, WV for a $1000 to win $50 to start non-point event. In addition to the top paying purse, the Mod Lite STARS will be adding an additional $2000 worth of contingencies. The $50 Wilwood Performance Brake of the race will be in place along with a $25 Raceceiver Hard Charger award along with many others. The modified lites will be qualifying for their heat line-ups with the Bilstein Mod Lite STARS top qualifier receiving $100 cash. There will be a $25 entry fee. Modified Lite STARS South rules apply.

Our number one goal under the Modified Lite STARS banner is to support and promote modified lite racing, Bill Bauer president of the Tour stated during a phone conversation with new promoter Joe Jackson, a West Virginia state trooper and owner of Daddy Rabbit Graphics in Beckley. Joe had leased the facility for the remainder of the season from owner Jack Whittaker. The support we are getting from our sponsors like Bilstein, Wilwood Performance Brakes along with many more gives us the resources that we can use to promote the Modified Lite STARS program and to provide the support for those race tracks that wish to run modified lites. We encourage promoters and sponsors to contact us to schedule regional events, but we also support non-point events and co-sanction events like we’re are doing with Beckley on August 26th.

The Bilstein Modified Lite STARS International Championship Tour is a non-profit organization representing an aggressively growing segment of motor sports’ racing and is recognized as the leader in modified lite racing in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio along with New York, Delaware and Candia regions. The Modified Lite STARS Tour was formed to provide drivers the opportunity to compete at a regional level known as the STARS North (Canada region) and STARS South (Ohio/PA/WV Region). The Modified Lite STARS Tour continued to show growth in 2011 with the addition of the STARS East (Delaware region) and STARS North East (New York) joining the program.

Modlites are a great for racing. The engines make 200hp stock rev 14000 rpm and put on a great show. These cars weigh 1000lb with driver, power to weight is very good.
I have seen some of the best races come from this class.
Be nice to see some more tracks take a look at them. Promoters, Try to show the fans the cars up close. It will suprise them on how they are built. Mite just make them want one!
Something has to replace the frontwheel drive cars and street stocks. Street stocks aint cars any more, and front wheel drive is not ment for the dirt tracks. Goodluck BECKLEY MOTORSPORTS PARK hope the weather is great for you.
