Race wars !
A story about a few racing ADVENTURES!
I recall a night at Eldora Speedway watching Donnie Moran run around the top groove, lying the right of his rear bumper skim the wall.A shower of sparks proceeded! In my mind he seemed to be Yelling, Look At Me, I'm A Drag Queen! I have intell from Tim Marshall a crew member of Donnie's & former late model & kart racing ass sociate!
Another evening at Skyline I watched Donnie apparently racing for the lead run circles around the competition. Each lap Donnie would pull ahead cross toward the bottom backoff go behind, drift to the top & Reclaim the lead. Twice each lap!
Since I do not own a late model I decided the best I could do was raise the level of competition! One sunny afternoon as I drove through Newark, O hi o, I ventured in a drag racers shop. Not a paticular pretty site. Guys in back dragging I speculate while a perfectly fine woman stood out front all alone. I felt it my duty to make it(small talk that is) to brighten her day!
Another trip to Eddie George's Grill on High Street in Columbus I met another lonely lady whom again was the off spring of drag racers I was forced to endeure(?) stories about how things were'nt working out. A recent visit to Jeg's led me to attempting to show them the error of their ways & Drag them boys out to Eldora where men & women a like can have a fun filled adventure! My attempts were in vain & they stayed with their convictions & me with mine.
