Yeah I think they are called the Patriot Guard? They pretty much shielded the Westboro idiots form the family and the service. Love what they do! These are some stand up people.

I really can't say what I would like to happen to the scum that would do this at any one's funeral let alone the funeral of a fallen soldier.

They thought they were going to protest in joplin missouri after joplin got devastated back in may by the tornado but they were met out on the interstate and turned away by the same biker group! They were also going to protest waylon jennings in branson missouri and they didnt show up from my understanding .. This group of idiots have nothing but hate in them and need to be ran off from anywhere that they show up at! I cant remember what online newspaper i was reading this in but i read back after the joplin tornado that this group went into resteraunt somewhere in missouri and got refused service and was told to leave because they werent welcome in the town they were in and were escorted out of town by the local police because they feared for their lives .

Simply awesome! So glad to hear people actually stood up and refused them service. Same way they refuse the family of the fallen the respect that is due. This is how they should be treated.

My wife and I just finished watching the movie red slate. I then got on here and read this post, WTF? I truly don't understand how and why Wheldon's funeral would be chosen for a protest.

They stated it was due to Dan Wheldon being sponsored in the past by the National Guard when he raced for Panther Racing. In reality they are looking for publicity anyway they can get it. The leader is a lawyer and I imagine he is trying to sue anyone he can in order to reap financial gain. Just a POS is all he really is.
