Drilling at record levels

Article in the Colorado independent from Baker Hughes. On shore drilling is at record levels--The most since the Reagan years.

with oil this high we are planning on doing some drilling in the near future on some mineral rights I have in Kentucky. The problem is it is expensive and risky. We can only "hope" to hit oil and if we do 5 to 10 bpd is the expected rate. The real producing wells are offshore.

I know it's not that simple but we need the oil and the jobs. I say go for it. The Good Lord provided us with this natural resource and we just need to get it to the surface and then use it wisely.
