I am A Kyle Busch fan. I do not need any help on what I will say. Kind of the wrong way to structure a thread. Might have been better to simply asked KB fans what they think of this incident. I think the incident speaks for itself.

OK, I am being over the top. Just thinking about the Bloomie fans and how they respond when the long haired darling messes up.

Mr Gibbs should simply rest Mr Busch for the remainder of the season. The punishment should come in house and not from Nascar other than what Nascar properly decided this weekend.

Kid, he did it under caution and really went over board. HE cooked it. He cannot justify it. I think he will actually skate a bit on this longer term, not shorter term however. You will not see this kind of behavior from him in the next few years, anyway. Of course JMO

He is going to be the example and all drivers will watch their unnecessary roughness going forward. Unnecessary being the key word.

Nascar should of parked the 18 car also. Not just Kyle. Then his sponsors would have a problem with his actions also. No million dollar sponsors, NO ride. Then maybe Gibbs might rethink his choice of drivers. By putting McDowell in the car, the sponsors stay happy, Gibbs stays happy, and Kyle learns nothing. I'm still hoping Ron shows up at Kyle's front door Monday morning for coffee. 1 lump or 2 Kyle?

TS FAN, I'm not condoning what Kyle did and I understand what you are saying, but, I still think both Harvick and Hornaday would have done the same thing. It looks like Kyle has received his punishment. Gibbs will get a handle Kyle like he did Stewart.

Reminds me of that scene from Days of Thunder when the Nascar president calls Rowdy Barnes and Cole Trickle into his office .

I don't think NASCAR would have parked him for the whole weekend, ever. I think they would have parked him for a couple of truck races but not for the Cup race in the years prior to around 1986 or 1987. Reason being, Bill France Jr. had an extraordinary fondness for both ironhead and Richard Childress and he wouldn't have hurt Childress that much financially.

I do, however, think NASCAR would not have parked ironhead at all post 1986 or 87. He and Childress had NASCAR, and more specifically Bill France Jr., so deep in their hip pocket that I'm not even sure they would have parked him for the remainder of the race. I would guess that NASCAR would have fined him a few bucks and would have made him come to the trailer for a beer or two after the race and that's it.

Some of the crap NASCAR let the 3 car get away with was nothing short of incredible, literally. And I'm not talking just about taking guys out. There was a whole lot of other stuff that went on besides that stuff.

Kyle wasnt in a Joe Gibbs Sprint Cup M & MS car he was in his own truck. Had nothing to do with cup series. So why should Gibbs fire a good driver. Look what Stewart has done or is that different. Stewart was in a cup car owned by Gibbs no 1 thought he should of been booted from NASCAR.
