Because it's not being led by corporate PR departments creating "fake" grass roots rallies, but real people who really AREN't professionals at organizing.

Now, look at your tea party. They were slick, polished, organized and sponsored by corporate America in no time. There was no real grass roots about that, even though any of those clowns showing up at the rallies would tell you so. It never ceased to amaze me how these people would go to rallies with professional stages, banners, sound systems, agendas laid out for them and NOT ONCE question WHO was actually putting this whole slick, polished and professional "grass roots" movement together for them. Had they known they were just being used for the financial gain of corporate America, maybe they wouldn't have shown up.

The one big difference I see as well is with OWS, it's not the protesters carrying the guns. Unlike the Tea Party, which was famous for sporting weapons and advocating "2nd Amendment Solutions", veiled threats of violence to anyone who dared oppose them.

Tea Party were the bullies, OWS gets bullied by Tea Party types. Nothing new in America.
Hey tnie, I have a question. How many instances of violence, drug use, rape, murder and acts of general disrespect can you site from Tea Party events?? I'll bet I can site waaaaay more from the OWS side.

I notice you pointed out the ONE incident of a man with a gun on his hip at a Tea Party. Was there ANY violence from that incident? I didn't think so. Was he breaking the law? I didn't think so.

Perhaps we should compare arrest totals from the two entities??

Not only are the Marxist sickos occupying and infringing on everyone in the areas rights, they stink. I mean they are stench. I have a nephew who is a dem by the way, that lives up in the NY area where this nonsense is going on. He said a garbage dump has a less offensive odor.

off of ad busters website the people behind the movement

          The Media Foundation
We are a global network of artists, activists, writers, pranksters, students, educators and entrepreneurs who want to advance the new social activist movement of the information age. Our aim is to topple existing power structures and forge a major shift in the way we will live in the 21st century.
          Adbusters Magazine

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Adbusters is a not-for-profit, reader-supported, 120,000-circulation magazine concerned about the erosion of our physical and cultural environments by commercial forces. Our work has been embraced by organizations like Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace, has been featured in hundreds of alternative and mainstream newspapers, magazines, and television and radio shows around the world.

Adbusters offers incisive philosophical articles as well as activist commentary from around the world addressing issues ranging from genetically modified foods to media concentration. In addition, our annual social marketing campaigns like Buy Nothing Day and Digital Detox Week have made us an important activist networking group.

Ultimately, though, Adbusters is an ecological magazine, dedicated to examining the relationship between human beings and their physical and mental environment. We want a world in which the economy and ecology resonate in balance. We try to coax people from spectator to participant in this quest. We want folks to get mad about corporate disinformation, injustices in the global economy, and any industry that pollutes our physical or mental commons.
          Culturejammer's Headquarters

This site was designed to help you turn the drab number cruncher you're staring at right now into the most versatile activist tool ever reckoned with. From cyberpetitions to Critical Mass tips, from exposing corporate propaganda, to downshifting your lifestyle and treading lightly on the planet, we hope this site will inspire you to move – upon your return to the real world – from spectator to participant.

If you have any problems with the website, please contact: webmaster@adbusters.org

I'm glad it worked out for you, but I guaranteed a state school education didn't cost $100k, even adjusted for inflation, when you attended.

                    My point, in picture form:

I graduated just 10 years ago. You don't have to incur all those extra expenses either. You can rent books. You don't need $7k per year for "personal expenses". All I needed was gas money and a little for food.

Those "personal expenses" have nothing to do with the cost of attending school anyway. They are "costs of being alive".

Well there you go. PT Barnum's adage of "there's one born every minute" is proven again.

GBTV. You have to pay for it cause no one else will.... LOL

Remember this Clayton, it was told to me by a very very wise old guy who had major success in business.

"You can sell shyt to people, but you'll only sell it to them once."

Now, go look in the mirror and ask yourself why GB is no longer on TV and available by subscription only.... lol Looks like some people will never get that all that guy is selling is SHYT.
