I'm glad to hear that you are a small business owner. The reason I say this is because when legislation is passed in Washington. I would like to hear from you how it will affect your business because, I know you will give a honest answer.Originally posted by 15jr View PostNot only do I agree with it. Good , bad or other you will hear from me. I am a bit busy watching the happenings in Iran right now because that will effect my business immediatley if they close that Strait. Right now we are seeing the lowest energy rates in a while (except for gas and oil) My current customers are doing great. Future customers might be in for a rough run.Originally posted by kidrock View PostI'm glad to hear that you are a small business owner. I agree that will affect a lot of things if that was to happen. I hope for your sake and everyone's else that it does not happen or we all could be in for a rough road.

For sure. It will be bad enough what the gas prices will look like. Let alone what it will do to home energy costs.Originally posted by kidrock View PostI agree that will affect a lot of things if that was to happen. Yeah people think the economy is bad now which it is. It will be far worse. I really don't think Iran will do it because it will hurt them as well but, you never want to under estimate the Iranians.

I am not certain they will either but they have a bit of an unstable leader that I am not sure reflects the views of the rest of that country. Lets hope not for everyones sake. I doubt it would stay closed long as they don't have much in the way of a Navy anymore. It seems like saber rattling to me but you just never know. I know we can't afford it and they economy can't either.Originally posted by kidrock View PostYeah people think the economy is bad now which it is. It will be far worse. The thing about middle eastern politics and diplomacy is that it is much like grand master chess games. They Arabians created the game of chess. High level chess players play several moves ahead. The Iranians want the U.S. to make certain moves that will open the door for the moves that they want to make. Saving the Iranian sailors set back their plan as Iran has said that it was a positive move. Even so, it will be only a minor detour for Iran. They are committed to a Muslim ideology and much of the Iranian leadership believe in the 12th Imam, the Mahdi which is brought out by the hadifs which must be read in correlation with the Koran.
A true muslim is one that patterns their life as closely as possible after the prophet Mohammed in every word and deed.
Any muslim who is not patterning their life in word and deed after what Mohammed did and said, is not per Mohammed, a true muslim.
Per Mohammed, the goal of Islam is to be the sole religious, political, social, and cultural system of all the people of the world; and all people should submit to that.
Any continued state of peace with non-confirmists (the kafirs as all of us non-Muslims ultimately are), is against Mohammed, and are not an example of following the prophet's life and teachings in every word or deed.
Anyone that it against the Muslim ideology is an infidel and must be killed.
The ideology of the believers in the 12th Imam is that they must bring blood on the world in order to bring about the 12th Imam and only then can they all achieve their idea of heaven. This is also part of the belief of dying for Islam.
I do believe that with this ideology that there is great reason to believe that Iran could possibly do something very stupid. That is why it is so crucial to push for regime change.I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.

I am completely clueless as to how the Muslim religion works or their beliefs. So in that I do not doubt your assessment. I am looking at the common sense of this situation. So far it seems that no one is jumping the gun and I hope it continues that way. I agree that Ahmadenijad is a lunatic, what I doubt is that the entire country wants to be at war with the US or any other country. I have heard the threats to Isreal and unless I am mistaken so far they have only been threats. Isreal has enough of an arsenal to take care of Iran if needed. I believe they are looking for our ok in order to strike. So far we have not given that ok which has caused tension between Isreal and the US. Lets all hope level heads prevail.Originally posted by MotorMouth View PostThe thing about middle eastern politics and diplomacy is that it is much like grand master chess games. Where is Kermit Roosevelt jr. when you need him?
Israel is where it gets really sticky, To the point were they may have to fight more than one nation if this Iran thing goes bad. To do so will possibly end in Nuclear war.Last edited by Headhunter; 01-10-2012, 12:49 PM.

The country of Iran is not very far from being just like Syria. In fact, they have had their share of riots against the government but they were put down much more easily than the Syrian people who have been rebelling against Assad for almost a year now with thousands of civilians killed, many by government snipers. Many Iranians were waiting for Obama to support their uprising but he did not act. It is believed that the only way at this time to deal with Iran is through destabilization by supporting dissidents.
The Iranian Republican Guard holds a firm hand on the people and the Ayatollahs hold a complete control over the military and to a major degree over President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Even so, Ahmadinejad has had a strong influence on Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and has swung him into at least believing to some degree in the ideology of the 12th Imam, the Mahdi, the guided one who is mentioned in the hadiths which are reference materials of the Koran. One can not completely understand the Koran without complete understanding of the hadiths.
Many have heard Muslims say that they do not believe in the radical efforts taking place through terrorism. It is true that in the initial phases of the Koran it does say to live honest and moral lives but the key issue with the Koran and the hadiths is that it is all in sequence and much of the later material not only over rules the early material but there is even a specific section where Muslims are told to lie to achieve the goals of a world controlled by Muslims. That is why they are moving into so many different nations and achieving major population expansion and then demanding that shari'a law be instituted rather than living according to the laws of the land. This is called a silent jihad and it is already under way in this country.
I can only presume but do believe that I ran would prefer to be considered the defender rather than the aggressor and would prefer for Israel or the U.S. to create an incident. I do, however, also feel that in the world of conventional warfare they would not stand a chance. They are also not prepared and could not even come close to fighting a war with nuclear arms. I do believe that they would like to make one great move if possible. and with the ties to Hugo Chavez and with missile sites being built in Venezuela I would not be surprised to see Iran try to launch a nuclear missile from Venezuela with short reaction time. They would probably launch an attack on Israel at the same time. If the U.S. then launches Russia will launch and then the whole thing goes up as others follow suit from North Korea to India and Pakistan. The point is that this would bring the blood upon the world that would bring about the 12Imam as is the story of the Mahdi that he will not come until the Muslims bring blood upon the world.
We are, however, much closer to an economic collapse of the whole world economy which should be at this time the most important concern. If the United States collapses the rest of the world economy will follow. The chances are extremely high that the Eurozone could collapse this year and this could also pull the U.S. down as well. This present government has done nothing to correct what caused the problem of 2007-2008 other than to just prop up the stock market so that it does not just flat fall. This has been done through three separate quantitative easements by the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Treasury. In this action they have kept interest rates as low as possible to steady the market. To pay for this they have been printing more and more currency to release into the economy to the tune of about $620 billion with each easement. This is as much as anything the cause for much of the inflationary situation we see. The government is therefore staving off a depression that will only get worse and will become harder to stave off as long as they continue to deal with it as they have.
Iwill give an analogy of what is happening. During LBJs time in office he got the U.S. fully involved in Vietnam but refused just as Truman did with Korea to call it a war. They both called it a police action. You can ask any veteran from either of those WARS and they will all tell you it was WAR.
Now, in comparison, what is happening is that Obama does not want a depression that will affect him as he leads this country but because he is not a capitalist he is also not fixing the problems that could be fixed. What is happening is that they are kicking the economic problem down the road to a point that had we gone ahead and dealt with a depression two or three years ago we would have been on our way back to a normal recovery by now. As it is when this depression does come it will affect the whole world and very likely create a situation where millions will die and there will be uncontrolled rioting throughout the world. AT this point even Iran would be affected and there would be more concern on their own internal issues.I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.

Exactly. The Ayatollahs are calling the shots. I doubt they let this escalate to all out war. I say this because too much money is involved. This would be the end to them and they know it. All one has to do is look around at the other countries that have watched their leadership be toppled. If they bring war into their own country I see them being overthrown just like the rest. These are only my opinions as I said before I do not pretend to know the inner workings of that country or their religion. I don't have the answers that's for sure. All I do know is that the US cannot afford to enter another war right now unless it is completely for defense reasons.Originally posted by MotorMouth View PostThe country of Iran is not very far from being just like Syria. The moves that I have mentioned by the "twelvers" is designed to bring the Imam. That would be the end of the world and their ascension to be with Allah. They can not be with Allah until the Imam shows and the Imam will not show until they bring blood on the world. I would assume that this would be an action that would be taken if the powers that be feel that they can not attain a world wide califate, a new world order completely controlled and governed by Islam.I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. I guess my question is why now? Why not 10 or 15 years ago? What has changed in Iran recently that would make this the time? I understand there ideology is what is fueling this hatred but just not sure they had to wait until now.Originally posted by MotorMouth View PostThe moves that I have mentioned by the "twelvers" is designed to bring the Imam. Being near the point of now having nuclear weapons makes them capable of causing a world war. Ten years ago they would have to sit back and be dealt with like Iraq was.
