Looks like they of Go Daddy bought Danica a gaurnteed start for Daytona thanks to Tommy Baldwin Racing. Looks like Blaney will have to race his way in. Why didn't Tony give up his gaurnteed start and race his way in he has a provisonial he can use. And this top 35 stupid only starters should be is fast qualifier 125 winners and last yr champion it's a new year race your way in.

This is a good deal for Stewart and Baldwin money wise, and all the way around. As for Mrs Patrick, did you think for a minute she wouldn't have a guaranteed spot? This is a multimillion dollar gain for auto racing. Not saying my opinion, just saying the facts. Only person who comes up a little short on this is Blaney. He now has to qualify. Tony is as smart a business man as there is in racing, whether you like him or not. He will have a monster of an operation, big as any team out there before its over. It is a win win for Baldwin too. -
I'd really like to see what ol' lard a$$ stewy would have to say if Danica Patrick was driving for and bringing all that money to another team.
It's a generally accepted fact that stewy is a world class hypocrite and I'm bettin' big bird baby stewy would be doin' plenty of chirpin' if DP was in a similar situation with say, Roush, Penske or Ganassi.Comment

This is only a win win for stewart Hass. Tony is in no matter what top 35 last yr and champions provisional Danica is in because Go Daddy bought the points from Tommy Baldwin Racing big sponsors alot can happen. Now If Blaney blows a motor or crashes durning the 125 qualifiers guess what he's out. Now its WIN WIN LOSS there is no gaurntee who makes the show if you have to race your way in with this 2 car tandom. That was my point at the begining Tony is in no matter what happens if he blows a motor or crashes so why chance at runing some one elses chance at making the show he could have gave up his owner points from last yr.Comment

This is the kind of stuff that will cost her the respect that she want's from the fan's and other racers.with the two car tandom racing at daytona she could have been pushed to a win in a 125 race. look at how she did last year at the big track she could have raced her way in with help. this bs did not need to happen.

All true race fans believe that starting spots should be earned. The thing is, this is about money. Danica has no business running in cup, but that doesn't matter. She brings millions to her team and many more viewers to the 500. So it starts and ends right there. She is a marketing tool and she is going to be a certain starter when she is there to race at any track. Stewart was a smart enough business man to jump at the first chance to bring her in. How he really feels about her as a driver, no one will ever know. What is known is she is dripping in sponsorship/money and all positives. As for how much she impedes her fellow racer when she is out there, remains to be seen.Comment

Modleing/race diver
Let me start off by saying, "SHES HOT" but is she going to drive or show off her body? If she can really drive a racecar, all this posing is only eye candy (not that it's bad). On the marketing side of it (also very smat) she has to make more money promoting than driving. I totally agree with an ealier post "race your way in" this lock 35 crap is bu11chit! When I go to a race I have to qualify in or drive my azz off to get in. If NASCRAP wants to award drivers/owners a spot in the race, 35 is way to many... I could see 20, this way half of the feild has to be fast or "GO HOME". It also may add a few more cars showing up to race, he!! sometimes they are lucky to get 43. In my closing, NASCAR has gone totally "HOLLYWOOD", it's no more a sport, it's a bussiness and MONEY dictates what happens. A so-so driver with a great car will beat a great driver with a so-so car.
