Here in Ohio we have no electric since Friday night & may be without until next Friday. We do have water & didn't have much damage, so it could of been much worse. AEP says hurricane Ike in 2008 produced winds of 75mph & we had 80 to 85mph winds.

My daughter and I actually left after the 3rd round of qualifying and missed Schumacher's record run, along with the Chi-town Hustler's pass. We had just had enough. Best seats in the house however. General Admission - we sat or stood at the very top of Section BB in the shade of one of the billboards and it was nice and breezy up there. We had just had enough... 5 hours NO Energy after being in the heat and sun, plus the very long walk out to my truck. His first NHRA experience and I think she handled it very well. I was going to pick Vincent Nobile because a friend of mine did the wrap that's on the car this weekend... a tribute to our Fallen Heroes.

Good luck everyone... even though I think I could go free today, I'm gonna sit at home, relax, watch Tiger chase another win, before watching the finals tonight on ESPN2.

Thanks again Hoosier. I wish I could have been there to see Erica win her first one. I had been picking her for a final round lately. She has been knocking on the door for quite sometime. She deserves this milestone in her career.
Racemon, would you send some of your weather down here? We haven't had significant rain in three months. We are having record heat & dry conditions. Most cities & counties have banned fireworks. We have had burn bans for over a month but we still have fires due to people ignoring the law. The drought is devasting to the farmers & ranchers which impacts the local economy & will lead to higher prices & lost jobs.

Actually Doc still pretty dry here, & record heat days. --just the heat spawning nasty storms with quick down pours. Our area is holding firework displays but some in region have been cancelled due to dryness. All burning is prohibited in area.

We have not had electric since last Friday night & another storm is on it's way. I feel sorry for the power crews working in this heat.

Sheriffs department has been going door to door yesterday & today handing out water & checking on folks in the black out areas due to heat.
