auto meter elite vs longacre steeper (SMI)

I'm looking for some input on these two different brand of gauges both show similar features but the auto meter is a 2 1/16" gauge and about $250 per gauge where the longacre is 2 5/8" and about $100 per gauge. I would like to get some oppinions from others on which they think would be a better gauge for racing action. if anyone has some installed and could give me some input on them I would love to here it before i decide to purchase a set
