Aside from Brewserton speedway, what other dirt tracks are in upstate ny? I run street stocks or a variation of it and from what I can see brewerton dont run them only mods and mini stocks...

Looking for something near buffalo or if must be syracuse...

    Thanks

I'm from Western NY, but did not go to a dirt track until I moved to Southern, IL. Wish I had while I was there. Used to go to a bar and the bartender called me Awesome Bill from Ransomville, though I'd never been. I did see Evel Knievel jump at Lancaster Speedway. He made it...didn't wreck.

I grew up going to both Ransomville, the Big R, and Lancaster, now known as Dunn-Tire Raceway Park. Both tracks are just great. Nothing in Illinois compares, and I mean nothing.

My uncle actually is the original founder of what is now known as Ransomville Speedway. Ed Ortiz is his name. Ed's son Jipper, still races there in the DIRT Sportsman class and is a good shoe.

There are also tracks in Batavia, as well as a few in Ontario I used to go to including Merrittville Speedway and Humberstone in Port Colborne. Not sure if it's even still in operation, but it was a good Sunday night track.

Fonda Speedway has some good short track racing, Lebanon Valley (About 30 miles south-east of Albany) is a GREAT 1/2 high bank surface, and there is Orange County Speedway.

When I lived in Upstate and VT, I use to primarily go and run an Enduro car at Albany-Saratoga and Devil's Bowl Speedways (Fairfield, VT), but they had paved both surfaces in the last couple of years. However, I just logged onto crva.com and it looks like A-S is back to being dirt as of the 2012 season!

Hope this helps ya git some grit in yur teef!
